On Tuesday 29 January, RBCC held the latest in this series of senior-level events for the financial community focusing on business between the UK and Russia. On this occasion we were pleased to welcome Michael Calvey, Founder & Co-Managing Partner, Baring Vostok Capital Partners, as key-note speaker. Over an excellent lunch in the splendid surroundings of Haberdashers' Hall, 100 invited and paying guests listened to the views of Mr Calvey on past and future developments in Russian private equity and the wider economy. Because the meeting was held under "the Chatham House rule" we are unable to report what was said by Mr Calvey or of the lively discussion which followed. But we would like to express our sincere thanks to Michael who made the journey to London to speak at the event.
